Christianity as a Lifestyle

Hey guys, I’m back with another!!

When we accept God into our lives, we gain His Spirit, the Holy Spirit. With His Spirit, we have the chance to have encounters with Him, and to know the thoughts of the Father, as 1 Corinthians 2:11 and 1 Corinthians 2:16 say it best!:

1 Corinthians 2:11 NIV

11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

1 Corinthians 2:16 NLT

16 For, “Who can know the LORD’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.

Once this change in our lives happens, along with gaining the Holy Spirit, our lives will NEVER be the same! We now become set apart from the world, and we are expected to act accordingly. We should look into the Word to keep up with the truth and to follow what it instructs us to do. Refer to the Word when you are in need strength, like it says in Ephesians 3:16-17:

Ephesians 3:16-17 NLT

16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.

Refer to the Word when you need encouragement, like it says in Isaiah 41:10:

Isaiah 41:10 NLT

10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

Refer to the Word for when you need further direction, like it says in Psalms 119:105:

Psalms 119:105 NLT

105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

It is necessary for us to refer to the Word so that we become strong and resilient people of God, for the Holy Spirit within us becomes strengthened and can bring what we put into Him back to us through His ability to give us remembrance and to keep us going.

This is an active and intentional lifestyle that we should lead, and it is all for our benefit! That’s how good the Lord is and how much He loves us; He made it all so that WE benefit and that WE can achieve new heights as we fix our postures to meet Him! Let us spread this love from Him to others, by showing love and compassion in our actions and in spreading the gospel. Let us stay in the Word, because in this we can reach new heights and possibilities with our strengthened Spirit. Just remember Joel 2:28:

Joel 2:28 NLT

28 Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions.

I hope that you guys enjoyed this blog! Come back next week to enjoy another one!
