Doubting One's Salvation

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another blog! Today we’re going to be talking about salvation, specifically doubting one’s salvation and how to stop that doubt. First, we must ask ourselves, what is salvation? Romans 10:9-10 explains this very well. The verse says, ““That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. ” Simply put, salvation is an acknowledgement that Jesus Christ is our Lord and personal savior, and accepting that God raised him from the dead. Now you may ask, why is this important? That is because by accepting these things, we are saved from the consequences of sin, and we spend eternity with God. Now that we know this, we now must ask ourselves, why do we doubt our salvation? There is a simple answer; we do not have enough trust in the Lord due to our lack of knowledge of the word of God. If we don’t study the word, we won’t really know God, and if we don’t really know God, how can we be able to put our full trust in Him? So, how do we fix our doubt? We must study the word of God so that we may come to a place where we can wholeheartedly put our trust in God and wipe away any doubt that comes with His salvation.
