How to Study the Bible

Hey guys, welcome back to another blog post! Today, we’ll be talking about how to study the bible. Specifically, how to study the bible intentionally. First, we must ask ourselves, how can studying the bible help me? 2 Timothy 3:16-17 does a perfect job of explaining that. The verse states, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.” We are told of the many benefits of studying the bible. It is beneficial for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness. We are also told that studying the Bible makes the man of God capable and equipped for every good work. So, now we know that studying the bible helps us by making us capable for every good work, we will get into the steps to studying the bible intentionally. First, we must intentionally set aside time for God. Second, we must prepare for our bible study. Find a place where you won't be distracted so that your one on one with God will be intentional and impactful. Last but not least, we should prepare our hearts. Preparing our hearts will positively impact our time studying the bible, and ensure that we get the most out of it. In conclusion, studying the bible equips us to do good work, and some steps you can take to effectively study the bible are setting aside time for God, preparing ourselves for the actual bible study, and by preparing our hearts.
