Hey guys, welcome back to another blog! Today I will be talking about lukewarmness. Before we continue on this lesson, we must first ask ourselves, what does it mean to be lukewarm? Well, in Revelation 3:15-16, it says that being lukewarm is being neither hot nor cold. To explain this a little bit more, being hot means that you’re “on fire” or very passionate for God, and being cold means that you lack the passion that a person “on fire” has for God. If you’re lukewarm, you are neither hot nor cold, which means you lead the lives of both a person that is passionate and not passionate for God. Now that we know this, we must ask ourselves: as Christians, why is this something we should avoid? We can refer back to Revelation 3:15-16 for the answer. The Lord himself tells us that He prefers if we were either hot or cold! Not only that, but He also says that because one is neither hot nor cold, He will spit them out of His mouth! I don't know about you guys, but the last thing I want is to be spit out by the Lord. So to summarize: being lukewarm is leading a life that is both passionate and not passionate for God, and this should be avoided because God prefers for us to choose to be hot or cold and God needs us to be sure in our faith, so we shouldnt be doubtful (Revelation 3:15-16)!
