Strength in Faith

Having a strong faith is something a lot of Christians desire.. Most Christians are iffy about their faith and aren’t 100% confident about certain teachings. That being said, how can we strengthen our faith, and why is it so important? For starters, a weak faith and Christianity just don’t go well together. Weak faith and Christianity are like water and oil, they don’t mix. So, how can you build up a strong faith? Well, think about it as a workout journey. It takes time and effort, but in the end, the reward is worth it. First and foremost, you have to understand that you cannot be saved by works.

Ephesians 2:8 NIV - “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift from God.”

All that this verse is saying is: reading the Bible, praying, and living a righteous life alone won’t grant you a spot in heaven. You have to confess with your mouth and believe fully with your heart that Jesus is our saviour. However, reading the Bible, praying, and living a righteous life are all supplications for salvation, as well as cultivating a strong and healthy relationship with God. In order for any relationship to progress, you have to spend time with the other person. Strength in faith is also not being ashamed of who you worship. If your friends make fun of you, or you are an outcast at school because of your devotion, just remember the end result: Heaven. When God sees your devotion to him, good things will come your way.
